Adaptive Eyewear has partnered with PSI, the leading nonprofit social marketing organization in the world, to run adaptive eyeglass project pilots groups in Ethiopia in 2009. Ethiopia only has a handful of optometrists, and eyeglasses easily cost over $100 a pair.  In rural areas, there is essentially no vision correction available at all.
